Auditions for the original comedy “Door to Door” by Shirley King will be held on February 7th, 8th and 9th, 2011, between 7p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Crooksville Recreation Center off St. Rt. 93 next to Blacker’s Pharmacy. You need to attend only one night of auditions and only those auditioning will be considered for a part. Alice Grant will be directing assisted by Kathy Campbell.
“Door to Door” is about a day for celebration in Murlock until suddenly everything falls apart. If the groom goes to jail what will happen to Murlock’s wedding of the year? And how will the good people of Murlock fend off developers bent on destroying their orchards? This lively script is populated by a cast of memorable characters. The show will be presented in dinner theater format and ends with a big surprise for the audience. 4 women and 4 men of various ages are needed. All parts are written for teens and older.

What better way to kick off your holiday season than with dinner and a play? The SEO Regional Theater will present an All You Can Eat spaghetti dinner and an original Christmas play, The Buzzard’s Gulch Christmas Caper, on December 3rd, 4th and 5th 2010.
Dinner will be served from 5:00 TO 7:00 on December 3rd and 4th only. All you can eat spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drink and dessert for just $7.00 for adults, $3.50 for kids 10-under. Bring two cans of food per person for the Community Center food pantry and we’ll knock one dollar off your adult dinner ticket.
An original play with a song written especially for the show by Linda Rose, The Buzzard’s Gulch Christmas Caper follows dinner. When the Sheriff bans Christmas in the small western town of Buzzard’s Gulch, the town folk have to draw on all their resources to try to get him to lift the ban. Complicating matters is a mysterious stranger and a lovesick bartender further hampered by the return of Harlan Diamond. A wild romp of Christmas fun, The Buzzard’s Gulch Christmas Caper will have you laughing and crying. It is suitable for all ages.
Ticket prices for the show are $7.00 for adults, $3.50 for students and seniors aged 65 and over. All the action takes place at the Bearfield/Alpha School on St. Rt. 37. Getting there is half the fun! Take St. Rt. 93 past Crooksville to the crossroad of 93/13 and 37. Turn left onto 37 and just follow the road. The school is on your left about one mile up the road.

The S.E.O. Regional Theater’s latest production, The Silver Paddle, will play for one more performance at The Twin City Opera House on Main Street in McConnelsville! The curtain rises at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Please join us, bring kids and have a great summer night of entertainment in one of the most beautiful theaters in Southeastern Ohio.
The Silver Paddle follows the plight of Tristan who is fed up with her bossy parents, betraying friends and most especially the playground monitor who swats the last kid over the bridge back to school with her large, silver paddle. On the day she finds herself last, Tristan hides in the woods and decided to make her own way in the world with some surprising results!
Written primarily for children, The Silver Paddle is just as funny to adults.

Wonderful audiences, great weather and an enthusiastic and near error free production! This year’s Christmas play was a joy to witness but now it’s time to move on. But before we go, let’s bid ado to Wave and the rest of the cast.

“Wave’s Biggest, Baddest, Most Spectacular Christmas Show…Ever” Takes the stage this Friday at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
The play will be held at Bearfield/Alpha School on Township Rd. 197.
To get there: Take St. Rt. 93 south through Crooksville to the intersection of 93, 13 and 37 east. Turn left onto 37 east the school is about 1/2 mile down on the left.

The original Christmas play, Wave’s Biggest, Baddest, Most Spectacular Christmas Show…EVER! Takes the stage this weekend at the Bearfield/Alpha School on Township Road 197. Performances will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4th and at 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5th. Tickets are available at the door and refreshments will be available during intermission.
Wave has wanted to direct the annual community Christmas play since she was the littlest angel in the cast. When longtime diretor, Ethel, breaks a hip, Wave get’s her chance and she designs a show that would rival anything Stephen Spielberg could produce. But will she pull it off with a sagging economy, sullen teenagers and outright rebellion from her stage manager?

Auditions for the 2nd annual community Christmas play will be held on October 14th and 15th, 2009 at Bearfield/Alpha School between 6-9 p.m. Everyone who auditions will get a part in this original play and all ages are needed.
The Sounds of Faith community choir will be performing a fundraising concert on Saturday, October 17th at the Ceramic Museum on St. Rt. 93. You won’t want to miss this event, beautiful music in a beautiful environment. The museum will be serving beans and cornbread for just $5.00.
